“We’re all watching darkness and pain impact so many around the world.  Things that are broken can heal.”
Mac Shepherd

In the arts and entertainment world, Mac is “the real deal.”  While there was little baseball and hockey along the way, the second he put an instrument in his hands at the early age of 8 he began creating music.  This, now 19-year old, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist from Keswick, Ontario has already been a professional touring piano player and guitarist for 4 years.

Over the last 14 months, Mac has been living his dream driving towards the release of his debut album, writing & producing songs with some laughs along the way with a team that is focused on Mac’s vision and sound.  That team is Juno/CCMA artist Beverley Mahood, award winning songwriter Bruce Wallace and David “Messy” Mescon, a producer whose artists include Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, DJ Khaled and David Guetta.

As a writer, Mac’s influences are diverse, with a style that touches R&B, pop and soul.  While he has been working quietly to develop songs that reflect where he is musically right now, he has been found by fans, festivals and TV.  Mac performed at “Stars and Thunder” at age 16, sharing the stage with Keith Urban and Bryan Adams.  In recent years he has been a mainstay of the Magna Hoedown and since 2019 part of the National cast for CTV’s Telemiracle.  Not bad progress so far, and it’s really just about to start.

These past months as the world quarantines to stay safe, Mac reflected and released the song and video, for “Cry”, his effort to bring perspective, hope and some healing for these troubled times.
